This week!

In maths we will be looking at translation and reflection.
To translate a shape means to slide it into a new position.
Reflection is a transformation where each point in a shape appears at an equal distance on the opposite side of a given line - the line of reflection.

Our new unit is ´warning stories´.  Our class text is the bridge! I look forward to sharing some work with you.

Relative pronouns to encourage us to use relative clauses independently.

Creating own advertisements.

A healthy me! Over the course of this unit, we will be learning how to keep healthy. This week our focus is smoking.

In science we are continuing with our space topic and will be finding out more information about astronauts.

Welcome back!

What does this week entail?

Maths: To use and understand square and cube numbers.

A square number is a number multiplied by itself. They make square patterns.

 For example: 2 squared= 2 x 2 = 4
                       8 squared= 8 x 8= 64

A cube number is a number multiplied by itself and multiplied by itself again.

For example: 2 cubed= 2 x 2 x 2= 8
